Privacy Policy — Pixel Dog
Effective: October 31, 2026
Summary — Pixel Dog is a pixel puppy that lives on your screen. Your dog, its growth, stories and settings are stored on your phone. There is no sign-up or login. What leaves the phone is usage statistics and crash reports, the information ads need, purchase records when you buy something, and feedback only if you send it.
1. About this policy
This policy explains what information the Pixel Dog team ("we") processes when providing the mobile app Pixel Dog (com.pixeldog.app, "the app"), why, for how long, and your rights.
2. Permissions the app asks for
- Display over other apps — so your dog can walk around on top of other apps. The app does not read, record or capture what other apps show.
- Notifications — for care reminders (for example when your dog is hungry or a new story chapter opens) and the notification that keeps the dog on screen. Reminders are scheduled on your phone; you can turn them off in Settings or in your phone's settings.
- Vibration — short haptic feedback when you play with the dog.
3. What we do not collect
- Real name, email, phone number or contacts — there is no sign-up or login.
- The content of other apps, your keyboard input, photos, camera, microphone or precise (GPS) location.
4. What stays on your phone
- Your dog's breed, name, hunger, mood, bond level, training progress, story progress, adoption certificate, unlocked items and settings (size, sound, quiet hours, language).
- This is never sent to our server and is deleted when you uninstall the app.
5. What we process and why
| Information | Purpose | Processed by |
|---|---|---|
| App usage events (app opens, breed chosen, care actions, story chapters read, etc.), app instance ID, device info (model, OS, language), approximate region (from IP), advertising ID | Usage statistics, improving the app, measuring ads | Google Firebase Analytics |
| Crash reports (stack trace, device model, OS version, app version) | Finding and fixing crashes | Google Firebase Crashlytics |
| Device identifiers such as the advertising ID, device info, approximate location from the IP address, ad interactions | Showing and measuring ads, managing ad consent | Google AdMob · Google UMP |
| (When you buy a breed or a pass) product, price, time of purchase and purchase token — payment details are handled by Google Play; we never receive them | Unlocking and restoring purchases, refunds | Google Play billing |
| (Only if you send feedback) the text you write, the app version and device model | Answering and improving the app | Our server |
All transfers use encrypted connections (HTTPS).
Ads and consent
The free version shows Google AdMob ads (a banner on some screens, full-screen ads at some moments, and optional rewarded ads such as a 24-hour breed trial). Users in the EU, UK and other applicable regions are asked for consent through Google UMP, and you can change your choice in Settings. You can reset or delete your advertising ID or limit personalised ads in your phone's settings. A pass removes ads.
6. How long we keep it
- On your phone: until you uninstall the app.
- Purchase records: kept by Google Play; transaction records required by law are kept for the legal period.
- Feedback: up to 3 years, then deleted.
- Information processed by Google: according to each service's retention policy (Firebase Analytics events up to 14 months, Crashlytics reports 90 days).
7. Sharing, processors and international transfers
We do not sell your information. The information in section 5 is entrusted to the listed services only for the listed purposes and is not given to anyone else. These services may operate outside your country (for example in the United States).
- Google LLC — Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics, AdMob and UMP, Google Play billing
8. Children
The app is not directed at children under 14 (or the age set by your local law) and does not knowingly collect their personal information.
9. Your rights
Uninstalling the app deletes everything stored on your phone. You can withdraw the overlay and notification permissions at any time in your phone's settings. To see or delete feedback held on our side, email us below and we will act without delay.
10. Changes
If this policy changes, we will post the new version here with its effective date.
